Did you know children can legally marry in Florida? From 2001 to 2015, over 16,000 children under the age of 18 married in Florida, the second highest rate in the US for that period. Child marriage is linked to higher rates of dropping out of school, poverty, domestic violence and mental and physical health disorders. It is time something was done! A bill was just introduced in Florida’s state legislature which would end child marriage. Please email Florida lawmakers to tell them to support the bill and protect Florida’s girls. https://www.hrw.org/endchildmarriage
