(纽约）－人权观察组织今天表示，中国官员自2018年初开始，在穆斯林为主的新疆地区，强制实施定期“住户”工作。新疆是1,100万维吾尔族和其他突厥语系穆斯林少数民族的家园，前述走访工作实为政府加强“严打”运动的一环。
接待干部走访时，受访家庭必须让干部了解家属生活状况和政治观点，并接受政治思想灌输。人权观察组织表示，中国政府应立即终止这种走访工作，因其侵犯隐私权和家庭生活，且违反国际人权法保障的少数民族文化权利。
